The Art of Bribery -- Delaware Child Photographer

Miss Maliya's cover shoot was a success! Her adorable rain pictures were a hit. I'm glad, too ... because we had to work to get them! How do you get a two-year-old cutie to stand where you want her to stand, hold the umbrella like you want her to hold it, AND look adorable all at the same time? It's simple. You bribe her! About 30 seconds into our shoot Maliya was "all done" with the umbrella. "All done, all done!" she kept saying as she handed me back her duckie umbrella. But as soon as I let her see her potential reward, she was ready for more shooting. The little red lolli pop bought us about an hour of shooting time in the rain outfit. And then afterwards, watching her devour the treat was pretty cute, too. It was her very first lolli pop! She held it up to people as they passed by and said, "CANDY!" 

This next one was taken during the shoot when she decided that she'd had enough of the rain coat and umbrella. Off they went. The outfit was adorable even without the coat.
