Beautiful -- Delaware Photographer
I had a wonderful time yesterday working with a truly fabulous lady. I know that she's anxiously awaiting her preview. But first, I'd like to share with you a few things that I learned yesterday while on our shoot.
Ready? Ok, here we go.
1. Never, EVER trust the weather report. Sunny in the afternoon, my foot!
2. Shooting outside during a thunderstorm can work out just fine as long as you have an overhang and you're not afraid to die.
3. Sometimes it's good to ignore your gut feeling. Mine told me (and Robin) that we would probably get kicked out of the train station faster than I can say, "perfect!" (which, if you've worked with me, you know I say waaaay too much when I'm shooting). But we didn't. Take that, gut!
4. I love the Wilmington Train Station. The trains there go by at about 5 mph ... 115 mph less than at the Newark Train Station. Waaaaay less scary.
5. I taste really, really good to bugs. The bugs that live over at Gibraltar especially. They liked Robin ... but they LOVED me.
6. I shouldn't assume that my client will be shorter than me. Robin wasn't and we nearly lost THE suitcase because it's not meant to hold body weight ... especially mine!
7. And the most important thing I learned yesterday ... Robin is fabulous. With a capital F. She hit the ground running on her session. In fact, this first picture below is the very first shot of the day. Not bad, huh?
Robin, I had so, so, so much fun working with you. Sure ... we got attacked by bugs. But I totally think it was worth it! You are absolutely stunning.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. And thanks so much for all the well-wishes I've been receiving about my back. I'm still on the mend, but making progress. Very slow progress.
Happy Friday!
Kate

A white dress and purple wisteria--it doesn't get any better than that!! And how can we bring back that 1940's glamour? Just lovely.
Kate...you may find this hard to believe, but I was SPEECHLESS when I first looked at these! I am ecstatic with the preview, and cannot WAIT to see the rest!! Choosing is going to be quite the challenge...thanks for braving the bugs for me. We might need to bottle that Gibraltar fountain water as an insect repellent :)
so gorgeous! :) I'm sure walking in the fountain is easier when it's not a sheet of ice! :P I'm gonna have to try it in the summer sometime..
Hooray : ) I'm glad you like them, Robin!!! You were an excellent model! And I have even more gorgeous shots to share with you. And Erika, I hear it's cold in there. I, of course, have never been brave enough to go in there. I just send my clients in ; )
